First Day of School

Today was a great first day! Everyone acted so good. No one got lost (not too bad anyway!) Our old friends, last year's sixth and seventh graders, were old pros at school. Our new friends, the sixth graders did very well. Today was pretty easy - the real stuff starts tomorrow, I hope everyone is ready!!! I hope everyone had a great day and has a super great year!!

Reading

Monday - complete All About Me Project, review class rules, supplies needed, and school reminders.

Tuesday - Bell work - The Boy and the North Wind, Begin Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes book, Read Chapter 1 and review vocabulary, Complete Word Study - Compound Words page 15

Wednesday - Bell work - Bremen Town Musicians, Chapter 2 and review vocabulary, Word Study - Synonyms page 17, if time make Japanese lanterns

Thursday - Bell work - The Clever Leprechaun, Read Chapter 3 and review vocabulary, Word Study - Verb Tenses page 19, Class will review for vocabulary and comprehension quiz over Prologue through Chapter 3 on Friday.

Friday - Bell work - The Cow on the Roof, review for quiz, take quiz over vocabulary and comprehension, Prologue through Chapter 3. If time, complete lanterns.

Language Arts

Monday - All About Me, review class rules etc.

Initial Post

Well, well, well... the time has come!!! School is just around the corner.  I hope that everyone has had a great summer. This year has officially begun for me.  Today I am at Floydada, Texas at a Tech Camp.  I will be learning many new topics and ideas.  This will be the first time that I will see many of the teachers from school since school let out.  I think that we will have many new things to learn and to  complete.  I hope everyone is excited about coming back to school as I am!
